I attended The London Film School from September of 2000 through the spring of 2003 and the amount of growth that I experienced as a filmmaker in this short period of time is really.unquantifiable. Not only did we learn how to watch, shoot and discuss film intelligently, but also we learned how to work from the inside - out.
By going through the school's process each filmmaker in their own time (I was very slow as opposed to those whom were fast) learns to discover their 'voice.' It's an amazing feeling to know that you have found a core to whom you are and that now you actually have a tool in which to express yourself.
The education was not easy. It was rigorous, tiring, physically and emotionally demanding - it was tough love. And though I didn't at the time, I now understand why: because the staff is absolutely committed to cultivating their students to flourish to become the best filmmakers they are capable of being.
Simply the training both practically and emotionally is the second to none.
