I enrolled the course at the LFS in January 2000 and finished in December 2001. Two pretty intense years, I would say! If I had to say one thing about LFS, I'd say that one gets to make a lot of films! When I look back I remember shooting films, because that's where I think the emphasis of the school is on, on learning by doing, by experiencing what it is like to make films!

My favourite term was 2nd term, when for six days we made six films in 16mm: one day I directed my own 3 minute film, the following I was DoP in someone else's film, the following camera operator... etc. It was an amazing team experience, as everyone in the team got to work on everyone's else's films.

The school is also a little bit like home... you spend so much time there that you really end up feeling (and behaving!) like at home. There are a few teachers and members of the staff that I am still in contact with and still ask for information and advice because they are people I wouldn't like to loose contact with. I have learnt a lot from them. (There are also others that I am not in touch with and I have learnt not much from... let's be honest!)

I was lucky to get to direct a film in the 4th term (35mm, B/W). I have actually just returned from the Taipei Film Festival where I was invited to thanks to my 4th term film! I spent all of last year making my graduation film together with 6 other students from LFS, 4 other writer/directors and 2 DoPs. The film is called 'Senses' and it is a portmanteau-style feature film in five parts. And now? Now I am starting to look for a job in the film industry.. (?!?)

I am writing a script at the moment and I hope I can find a way to get funding in order to shoot it. I hope to carry on making short films and direct a feature film soon...
